Doodle.nl is the illustration bureau of Arne van der Ree, illustrator and concept advisor.

Once born (1977 in Oud-Beijerland, Netherlands) the goal is to stand at the drawing table as soon as possible. And with succes; Loads of doodles end up on the family walls.

At the age of 16 Arne begins his education at Grafisch Lyceum Rotterdam (Graphic Designers school). During his final examn, four years later, he starts working on packaging illustrations for his first big client, Sluis Petfoods (DKSH). From 1998 - 2002 Arne studies ‘Illustration design’ at the Willem de Kooning Academy in Rotterdam. During this study he continues developing his experience as a freelance illustrator.

After this, Arne starts working as a parttime art tutor at Grafisch Lyceum Rotterdam. He developes the study ‘visualising’. During the rest of the week Arne works as a freelance illustrator for a wide range of clients. Doodle.nl becomes internationally known. The combination of tutoring and illustrating turns out to be a profitable combination. Creating briefings, brainstorming with students and stimulating students to deliver new material; It’s a source of inspiration.

In 2009 Arne starts working through Artbox, an agent that introduces him to clients such as the Dutch minstry and Ahold. After a succesfull year Doodle.nl starts illustrating fulltime on 01-01-'10.
